一、Principle of Lever Hoists

The lever hoist, also known as the manual winch, is a simple and easy-to-use manual lifting equipment, which is widely used in the fields of construction engineering, ship building industry, power industry, etc. It mainly relies on manpower as a power source, and realizes the functions of lifting heavy objects, pulling objects, and regulating tension through a series of mechanical transmissions.

二、Working principle details

The core working principle of the lever hoist can be summarized as the process of human power transmission torque, gear transmission and brake device working together.

1. Human power transmission torque:

The operation of the lever hoist is based on human power drive. The operator applies force through the handle, which is then transmitted to the internal gear system and converted into the rotational power of the winch. This direct human intervention makes the lever hoist easy to learn and flexible to use without power supply.

2. Gear transmission:

Inside the lever hoist, a set of finely designed gear systems plays the role of power transmission. When the handle is acted upon by the operator's force, it drives the gears to start rotating. The mutual engagement between the gears generates the required torque, allowing the winch to rotate as expected. Gear transmission not only increases the torque, but also ensures stability and efficiency during operation.

3. Braking device:

To ensure the safety and stability of operation, the lever hoist is generally equipped with a braking device. These devices can quickly brake the winch when the operator stops applying force to prevent it from falling due to its own weight or causing injury due to excessive rotation. The design and material selection of the brake directly affect the performance of the lever hoist. Common brakes include ratchet brakes and electromagnetic brakes.

三、The difference between HSH-C Lever Block and HSH-VT Lever Block

1. There are two kinds of lever hoists, which are HSH-C lever hoists and HSH-VT lever hoists. These two types of hoists look similar in appearance, but in fact, their internal structure and operation methods are completely different.

2. The structure and operation method of HSH-C Lever Block

HSH-C type lever hoist has four columns inside to support the wallboard and cover, making the internal space larger. The double pawl brake system and thickened and widened brake pad design ensure the safe operation of the hoisting work.

The quenched upper and lower hooks are specially processed to have a load capacity of more than 4 times. Even under overload conditions, they will not break suddenly, but will slowly straighten to prevent sudden breakage and unnecessary economic losses.

We use Grade 80 standard load chain. It means that the chain can withstand 800N/mm2. It must be processed by black oxide or galvanization. We make certain that the welding point will never crack.

Operation method:

Select the up or down gear. Press the wrench to control the up and down of the lifting chain to achieve the up and down of the heavy object.

3.The structure and operation method of HSH-VT Lever Block

HSH-VT lever hoist has 3 columns supporting the wallboard and cover, with a more compact internal structure and a more sophisticated design. It also has a double pawl brake system and thickened and widened brake pads to ensure the safe operation of the lifting work.

The quenched upper and lower hooks and specially treated lifting chains ensure the efficient operation of the lifting work.

Operation method:

Pull the upper buckle to separate the handwheel from the wrench. Then select the up and down gears to achieve the up and down of the goods.

Through the analysis of working principle, structural characteristics and application, the lever hoist is a traditional manual lifting tool, and its core working principle is based on the coordinated operation of manpower, gear transmission and brake device. Its structural characteristics reflect the design concept of practicality and durability. The lever hoist has a wide range of applications and is one of the indispensable tools in many industries. However, when using a lever hoist, safety is always the first priority. Operators should receive professional training to understand how to use the lever hoist correctly and safely to ensure personal and equipment safety during operation.
